There are two builds of each version; -json (JavaScript on) and -jsoff
(JavaScript off). This does not reflect the default setting, it's imply
that the -jsoff builds do not include any JavaScript functionality at
all.

If you're running a release version (did you say what version you were
running, and where you got it from) then the whole of the above is moot:
we've not made a release with JavaScript support, only test versions.
