Doesn't your email system have filters, Evan (and Allan and "m0n0")?
A filter sends all those 40 Netsurf emails into a Netsurf folder.
Then you just skim the subject lines and open only the ones that
interest you.

And with threading as well as a filter, you don't even see many
subject lines.
