[Rpcemu] Getting a mouse scroll-wheel to work

I've replaced my elderly cabled 3-button mouse (after a brief ceremony
to honour its long and faithful service) with a Dell wireless 2-button
+ scrollwheel mouse. This works fine with RPCEmu, but the scrollwheel,
although it functions as Menu when pressed, doesn't deliver scrolling,
which I miss. On my Iyonix !HID enabled scrollwheel mice to function
fully, but !HID doesn't seem to work with RPCEmu 0.8.9/4.02.

Under RPCEmu-Settings, I've configured the mouse to 'Follow host
mouse' (the other options being 'Capture' and 'Two-button mouse
mode'). I'm afraid to change the mouse setting in case it stops
working (there's no way to access the Settings menu in that event to
correct matters AFAIK).

Is anyone using a scrollwheel mouse successfully in conjunction with
0.8.9/4.02, and if so, how is it done?
