I have installed the 64bit xfce Linux Mint 17 on VirtualBox and still do not
see the "missing" thing. Once 'build-essential' and allegro4 were installed
the build of the 0.8.11 release completed without any issues. (I still have
not persuaded the mercurial latest to visibly start RISC OS yet.)

So no help at all then!!
