Yes, src/missing exists but it's old AIUI;

(Personally, I don't think built outputs, like configure, belong in
Mercurial. Those cloning should expect to build from *source*, with a
`make distcheck' tar file made available, even nightly, to those wanting
`./configure && make'.)
