This is why you would fork QEMU to add the RO specific integration that wouldn't be accepted in mainline. You would then be able to keep up with QEMU developments by periodically pulling changes from the main tree. It's not difficult.

In RPCemu, yes, since it's not a RiscPC-era thing, but for RO virtualisation you _do_ want ARMv7 so you can actually run new user software. Like, for example, anything making use of the VFPSupport module you mentioned yesterday. There is little point in having a solution that runs RO5 only to not be able to run any software that you would want to run on an RO5 solution.
