ISTR having a similiar problem with Chocks Away on a SARPC and having to
turn off the cache to make it playable. What version are you using? Mine
was from an Acorn User cover disc.
It may be that either Chocks doesn't support proper timing moderation at
all, or that it needs a later version that does.
