That's RGBA, so the alpha channel is 00=transparent. I'm now ignoring
the alpha channel properly for opaque bitmaps and they show up
correctly.
However, I'd suggest to set the alpha channel to 0xff for your images
in case anything does an impromptu bitmap_test_opaque.
