Thanks for the link. I can't immediately say whether or not
it's useful to me because I haven't had time to digest it.
Bearing in mind my limited Linux skills, when I have
digested it, it might still be beyond me.

I'm still confused as to why there is a problem because (as
I said in my original post) I've successfully installed it
on 3 different platforms - all with the same version of
Mint.

Ideally, I'd like to completely uninstall what is already
there and start again from the beginning.
