It may be easier than you think!
There are two things you can do:
1) Keep getting and using the latest Continuous Integration (CI)
build of NetSurf.
You can semi-automate the process nicely with Fetch_NS, which is
abailable from http://aconet.org/tools/fetch-ns.zip
2) When it behaves incorrectly, report it on the bug tracker.
The bug tracker is easy enough to use, and works with NetSurf.
You can access it starting from the "Contact the developers"
link on the NetSurf home page.
The developers are very receptive to bug reports!
There are warnings about the stability of CI builds, but in
my experience these warnings wildly exaggerate the likelihood
of genuine problems. But I will repeat this advice: if you
see the "infinite hourglass" when using NS, hit Alt-Break -
do NOT use Ctrl-Break.
It's sensible to keep at least one version that you know to
be good. If you use Fetch_NS, this will happen automatically;
you will want to clear out some of the earlier stored versions
from time to time.
