Good to know! I tried to track down the origins of the selection
handlers, but it looks like most of them go back to,

where the trail goes cold. It just occurred to me, though, that if the
selection handlers are factored out into a separate library, that
there would be no problem with licensing that library under the GPLv2
and then linking to it.
